GT defeated Rajasthan Royals in the playoffs to advance to the final game. After finishing in second place, RR played Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator and won by seven wickets to secure a spot in the final.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosted the final, which GT won by a margin of seven wickets. Hardik & Co were chasing a goal of 131 runs when they reached 133/3 in 18.1 overs thanks to opener Shubman Gill’s unbroken 45 runs off 43 balls, which included three fours and a six. The first time around, RR scored 130/9 in 20 overs, with Hardik grabbing three wickets. The Player of the Match award went to the GT captain.

IPL 2023 will include 18 doubleheaders and a total of 70 league games. There will be seven home and away games for each team. The first two home games for the Rajasthan Royals will be in Guwahati, and the following games will be played in Jaipur. The Punjab Kings will play their first five at home in Mohali before playing their final two at home in Dharamshala.
