What is the MahaDBT Scholarship?

Scholarships granted through the MahaDBT site are referred to as MahaDBT scholarships. These scholarships are provided by several departments of the Maharashtra government. Please refer to this post for a comprehensive list of available scholarships.

What is AapleSarkar DBT?

Direct Benefit Transfer, also known as AapleSarkar DBT, is a portal that was developed by the government of Maharashtra. Its purpose is to transfer the benefits and subsidies of various social welfare schemes, such as E-Scholarships, Pensions, and Disaster Relief, directly into the bank account of the beneficiary.

The Aaple Sarkar Maha DBT portal has been developed by the state government of Maharashtra to provide an unprecedented increase of direct benefits to students who are economically disadvantaged and who deserve them. The existing process in the welfare Scheme will be re-engineered as part of the transformation that the Maha DBT scholarship portal would bring to the government’s delivery system.

Eligible students can now fill out the Maha DBT scholarship scheme online registration form by logging in at mahadbtmahait.gov.in. Now candidates can check the whole list of scholarship schemes offered by the Maharashtra government (organized by department).

The state government of Maharashtra actively encourages all of its inhabitants to obtain an Aadhaar number so that rewards can be directly deposited into bank accounts that have been seeded with Aadhaar information. Applicants who do not already have an Aadhaar number can still apply online and fill out the registration form in order to take advantage of the benefits of the plan. MahaDBT – Social Justice and Special Assistance Scholarships

Students in the state of Maharashtra can receive financial help through one of five scholarship schemes that are made available through the Mahadbt portal. These schemes are funded by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance (SJSA). These grants are available to students who wish to continue their education after completing their matriculation requirements. The following table provides an exhaustive rundown of the information pertaining to each of the available scholarships. The requirements to qualify for these scholarships, as well as the perks they offer, are listed below.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship The student should belong to the SC category.There is no income limit for the scholarship.Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th.Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th.The student should be a resident of Maharashtra.Under this scheme, the SC students who secured 75% in the SSC examination and take admitted to Class XI will get a scholarship of Rs.300 per month for 10 months for two years.This Scholarship will be given in addition to the Government of India (GOI) scholarship and freeship.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with DisabilityThe students who are disabled are eligible to apply. MahaDBT – Tribal Development Department Scholarships

Students who fall under the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and have their permanent residence in Maharashtra are eligible for a number of post-matric scholarships that are offered by the Tribal Development Department of the State Government of Maharashtra. There are a total of four different scholarships available through this division. You will find a table below that contains extensive information on the eligibility criteria and perks of these scholarships that students can avail themselves of.

MahaDBT – Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Scholarships

Students who are legally residing in Maharashtra are eligible to apply for one of the 13 available scholarships through the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), which is part of the government of Maharashtra. It covers merit- and need-based scholarships that students can apply for in order to pay for their studies after they graduate from high school. Education Concession to the Children of Ex-ServicemenThe applicant’s son or daughter or wife or widow of ex-servicemen are eligible.The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only.The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.The college dress allowance and books allowance is paid up to Rs.445.
Eklavya ScholarshipThe students must have graduated in degree courses of Law, Commerce & Arts with at least 60% marks and in Science with at least 70% marks.The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed Rs.75,000.The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state.The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job.The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.The scholarship worth Rs.5,000 is for all the sanctioned students.
State Government Open Merit ScholarshipThe applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state.The applicant should have secured at least 60% marks in Class 12.This scholarship is for students who have enrolled in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Law courses.The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.Rs.100 per month will be paid directly to the student’s bank account.
Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics or PhysicsThe students should secure at least 60% in the Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12.The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra.Rs.100 per month will be paid directly to the student’s bank account.
Government Vidyaniketan ScholarshipThe student should secure 60% marks in the Class 10 examination.The student should have passed the Class 10 exam from the State Government Vidyanikethan only.The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra.Rs.100 per month will be paid.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior LevelThe students from Class 11 & 12 are eligible to apply.The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.The AMS junior-level scholarship amount is up to Rs.2,300.The AMS senior-level scholarship is up to Rs.72,000.

MahaDBT – Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Scholarships

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), which is run by the state of Maharashtra, is a higher education establishment of world-class caliber that is also globally competitive and flexible, and it is responsive to the individual, institutional, and socio-developmental needs of the people of Maharashtra. The DTE Scholarship is an umbrella phrase that primarily refers to two scholarships: the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Scholarship and the DTE Scholarship. Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna and Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna.

MahaDBT – VJNT, OBC & SBC Welfare Department Scholarships

By allowing students who fall under the VJNT, OBC, and SBC categories to take advantage of the scholarships that are described below, the department hopes to give these students the opportunity to integrate into the general educational system. MahaDBT – School Education and Sports Department Scholarships

Students who have achieved a score of at least 60 percent on their SSC examination are encouraged to submit an application to the School Education and Sports Department (SESD) of the Government of Maharashtra for consideration for Open Merit Scholarships in junior colleges. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage the recipient students to continue their education at a higher level. Additional scholarships based on academic achievement are provided by the department to students who are legally residing in the state.

MahaDBT – Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Scholarships

This section provides financial assistance to students from the state of Maharashtra who is planning to pursue studies in medicine or a related field. There are two scholarship Schemes available to students who are applying for MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and other similar Scheme at government-aided, corporation-run, or privately run colleges that are not receiving financial assistance from the government.
